The most valuable piece of advice in regards to parenting that I have ever received is to take a minute or two to collect myself. When the baby is crying, and seems inconsolable, and if you are feeling at your wits end, put the baby in it’s crib and walk away.

today is the eighth yesterday I got my days mixed up. Today we woke up early because Nana was banging around in the kitchen. You played with her and she gave you some of her hash browns which you seemed to like. We then dropped her off at work since we needed the car. On the way back home I think you fell asleep in the car but I’m not sure because once it was time to take you out you were awake. I tried putting you back to sleep once we were settled but that took a while. You finally went down around 9:20 and woke up around 11 on your own.

We played until lunch time. You had peas and water to drink. Oh yea we had snack time before lunch. I was eating pop corn and you were on a mission to have some. I grabbed your rice cakes and broke off little pieces for you so it seemed like you were having some of my snack but not really because pop corn is dangerous for tiny babies.

Anyways after lunch we played some more and I messaged your play dates mommy but she needed to reschedule for Thursday. I thought about going out but we stayed home because its to hot outside. You went down for a nap around 1:50 and I was going to join you but the noise of me getting comfortable woke you up. You really should of slept longer because you were rubbing your eyes and it didn’t take you long to get fussy. I decided to go over to Nanas office early.

There you and her played and I walked to the market for chicken. Back at home I prepared dinner and you two played some more. You began to get quite fussy so she gave you a bath early. This settled you down some and I didn’t have to rush to eat dinner as much as usual. Once we settled in to bed you cuddled up to me and nursed to sleep. Those precious moments before bed time are my absolute favorite. I love you baby bear sweet dreams
